A total of four people lost their lives and another 23 were injured in 17 major traffic accidents that occurred across the country over the past 24 hours. The information was officially released via the Ministry of the Interior's website.

Within the territory of the city of Sofia, 28 minor traffic accidents were recorded. No fatalities or injuries were reported in these incidents.

An analysis of the statistical data shows the following:

  • Since the beginning of the month, the death toll from traffic accidents is 31.
  • The total number of victims since the beginning of 2026 has reached 304.
  • For the same period in 2025, the number of fatalities was 275, meaning that 2026 shows an increase of 29 deaths compared to the previous year.
