Over the past 24 hours in the territory of the ODMVR - Burgas, two thefts, one other criminal offense, and two traffic accidents were registered. Three police proceedings have been initiated, and ten crimes have been solved.
On June 3, around 8:30 am, officers from the Obzor Station of the Nessebar Police Department conducted a search in a private house in Obzor, where they found and seized about 4 grams of methamphetamine belonging to a 24-year-old man with a criminal record from Pleven. The man was detained for 24 hours, and a fast-track proceeding has been initiated.
The same day, around 11:20 am in Burgas, officers from the Fifth Police Department checked a Hyundai car driven by a 41-year-old resident of Burgas and found that he had driven after using methamphetamine. The driver refused to provide a blood sample for analysis and was detained for 24 hours, and his car was seized. A fast-track proceeding has been initiated.
On June 3, around 5:10 pm, on the road Primorsko - Tsarevo, officers from the Tsarevo Police Department stopped for a check an Austrian citizen, 42 years old, driving a Mazda CX-30. The tests showed that the driver had used alcohol and cannabis. During the search of the car and his personal belongings, two bags with green plant material were found and seized. The driver was detained for 24 hours, and his car was seized. A fast-track proceeding has been initiated.
Regarding the traffic accidents, on June 3, around 11:45 am in Aytos, an Opel Astra car driven by a 55-year-old resident of Burgas hit a 72-year-old pedestrian from Aytos, who was examined at the hospital and released for home treatment. Around 11:58 am in Burgas, an Opel Astra car driven by a 76-year-old resident of Burgas failed to stop at a "STOP" sign and caused a traffic incident with a Toyota driven by a 33-year-old resident of Aytos. Two 14-year-old children traveling in the Opel Astra were injured in the incident and were examined at the hospital and released for home treatment.
