During the last 24 hours in the territory of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Burgas, three thefts, five other criminal offenses, one fire, and one traffic accident have been registered. One police investigation has been initiated, and three crimes have been solved.
On June 17 around 01:55 hours in the Northern Industrial Zone of Karnobat, officers from the District Police Station in the city stopped for inspection a Audi A6 passenger car with Burgas registration, driven by a 24-year-old man from Karnobat. It was found that he was driving under the influence of alcohol with a concentration of 1.50 per mille, without possessing the appropriate driver's license, within one year of his administrative punishment for the same offense. The man was detained for 24 hours, and a fast-track proceeding has been initiated in the case.
On June 17 around 13:40 hours, the District Police Station in Tsarevo received a report of a fire in the "Arapya" area near the city, which has covered an area of about 270 sq.m. Three caravans without registration plates, two wooden structures attached to them, and two auxiliary bathrooms, owned by a 50-year-old man from Gabrovo, were completely burned down by the fire. The causes of the incident and the extent of the damage are still being clarified, and a pre-trial investigation has been initiated in the case.
On June 17 around 01:07 hours, the District Police Station in Pomorie received a report of a traffic accident on "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" street in front of house No. 10 in the village of Poroy. An Opel Vectra passenger car with Burgas registration, driven by an 18-year-old woman from the village of Kosharitsa, crashed into a roadside tree due to excessive speed when exiting a left turn. The driver sustained minor injuries, was examined at the hospital, and was released for home treatment. Alcohol and drug tests were negative.
