The Burgas police deactivated an abandoned suitcase near the West bus station. After inspection, no explosives were found, but the investigation continues to identify the owner. The incident caused public fear.

Burgas police conducted an urgent operation following the discovery of an abandoned suitcase in the area of the _q_West_ bus station on September 19.

A statement from the regional police department revealed that the unusual find prompted an immediate response. The situation was extremely tense.

According to reports, the suitcase was spotted near an ice cream display, which in itself raised concerns given the potential danger and the high traffic of the location.

The area around the suspicious luggage was immediately cordoned off by law enforcement to ensure public safety.

After a thorough inspection by specialized teams, the suitcase was rendered safe without the use of explosives. No explosives or other hazardous materials were found inside.

Despite the successful operation and the lack of explosive devices, the investigation continues. Police are working to identify the owner of the suitcase and the reasons for its abandonment in a public place, actions that caused serious public fear and require a thorough investigation.

The operation served as a further reminder of the need for increased vigilance and attention, and the actions taken demonstrated the readiness of Bulgarian law enforcement agencies to respond quickly and effectively to potentially dangerous situations.

Further details of the investigation are not being released to protect its integrity. For now, it is only known that the investigation is ongoing.
