Active police work in Burgas over the past 24 hours has led to the disclosure of 10 crimes, including theft and drug trafficking. Several serious traffic accidents were registered, one of which posed a danger to life. The investigation is ongoing.

Burgas Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior reported active police activity over the past 24 hours, marked by numerous criminal offenses and road accidents.

The information bulletin, published on September 24, 2025, at 09:38 AM, notes two thefts, five other criminal offenses, one fire, and three road traffic accidents (RTAs).

Five police proceedings were initiated, and ten crimes were solved.

Solved Crimes

The cases solved by law enforcement officers present a diverse picture of criminal activity in the region.

  • Notable is the solving of a theft committed in a hotel in Sozopol. Two Kyrgyz citizens, working as hotel staff, reported the theft of a total of 3400 leva. Following the investigation, it was established that the 21-year-old of the two stole 2400 leva from her 20-year-old roommate. The young woman made a full confession and recovered the stolen amount, although she misled investigators, claiming that she herself was a victim of theft. The investigation continues, and details about the perpetrator"s motivation will be clarified.

In Burgas, police actions are focused on combating drug trafficking.

  • On "Shar Planina" street, a 32-year-old man from Kameno was apprehended driving under the influence of amphetamine and methamphetamine. The man was detained for 24 hours and a fast-track proceeding was initiated.
  • In "Meden Rudnik", a 46-year-old Burgas resident was arrested, possessing substances and tools suggesting the production of synthetic drugs. A fast-track proceeding was initiated in this case as well.
  • Another driver, a 19-year-old from Burgas, was detained for driving under the influence of cocaine on "Stefan Stambolov" street.
  • Another case of driving under the influence of alcohol " 1.61 ppm " was registered in the village of Svoboda, Kameno municipality. A 21-year-old man was detained for 24 hours.

Fast-track proceedings were initiated for all these cases. In this way, the Ministry of Interior demonstrates its determination in the fight against drug trafficking and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Road Accidents

The road accidents reported in the bulletin reveal a worrying trend of non-compliance with traffic rules.

  • One RTA, which occurred near the village of Varshilievo, resulted in a single-vehicle accident involving a Volkswagen Touran, driven by a 40-year-old woman who avoided serious injuries.
  • Driving at an inappropriate speed caused a serious accident on the Aytos " s. Karanovo " s. Rusokastro road. A 64-year-old man, driving a Nissan Qashqai, lost control of his vehicle, entered the oncoming lane and collided head-on with a Toyota RAV 4, driven by an Israeli citizen. The serious RTA resulted in serious injuries to both drivers, with one in life-threatening condition.
  • The third road accident was a single-vehicle accident involving an Aprilia motorcycle on "Nikola Petkov_q_ street, without serious consequences for the driver.

Fire

Also, a fire was registered in a two-story house in the village of Pripek. The fire was extinguished by the Aytos fire department, with the attic and roof structure being damaged. The causes of the fire are being investigated, and so far there is no evidence of arson. The case materials will be carefully studied to determine the cause of the incident.

The overall picture of events from the past 24 hours indicates the need for increased vigilance and strict adherence to the law, both by citizens and by competent authorities.
