The branch of Sofia University in Burgas continues its mission to build a spiritual and academic environment in which theology meets contemporary challenges. This year, candidates can choose between three master's programs: "Christian Pilgrimage," "Orthodox Theology" (a new program, unique to the Burgas branch), and "Church Management."
The "Christian Pilgrimage" program marks a special moment, as in 2025 the first graduates who enrolled since the opening of the branch will receive their diplomas. In response to the growing interest, from the academic year 2024/2025, the Faculty of Theology has developed and launched the entirely new "Orthodox Theology" program, which is offered only at the Burgas Branch.
The training is conducted by lecturers from the Faculty of Theology at Sofia University. The application deadlines are from June 10 to September 15, 2025, for master's degree candidates, specialists with state subsidies, and from June 10 to September 24, 2025, for master's degree candidates, non-specialists, and specialists with tuition-based training.
