Banknotes appeared on a beach in Tsarevo after the flood, their origin is unclear. Mayor Marin Kirov confirmed the information to BTA. The state of emergency remains in effect until the weather stabilizes.

After the disaster that struck one of the beaches in Tsarevo, banknotes appeared on the sand, the origin of which remains unclear at the moment. This information was confirmed by the mayor of Tsarevo municipality, Marin Kirov, to BTA.

There are claims that the tidal wave swept away a metal safe from an object of the local heavy equipment company "Auto Yani". The safe contained documents related to trucks and excavators, as well as possibly money. "I have no information what is reported to the police as damage, and whether it is reported at all. There is no way to know for sure whether the banknotes are from the safe of this company", said Mayor Kirov.

In a conversation with the BTA reporter, the mayor emphasized that Tsarevo municipality is not directly involved in the case in question. When asked whether divers are involved in searching for the safe in the sea depths, Kirov replied that during his rounds with the teams engaged in preventive measures in connection with the upcoming deterioration of the weather, as predicted by meteorologists, he noticed divers in the sea, but is not familiar with their specific task.

In addition, the mayor informed that the state of disaster in the territory of Tsarevo municipality remains in force. The decision to lift it will be made after the expected bad weather conditions on Tuesday pass. The main activity today is focused on assessing the damage and preparing for the upcoming deterioration of the weather. The teams are working on cleaning the risky rivers and ravines in the areas of the village of Lozenets, Arapya, Tsarevo, the Cherna River and Izgrevsko Dere, removing large rock masses and debris from trees. The goal is, with the expected heavy rainfall, for the water to be able to recede to the sea unhindered, as explained by Marin Kirov.
