Bulgaria with its first national participation at "Biofach China 2026"

The Republic of Bulgaria has taken a significant step in promoting Bulgarian organic production by participating for the first time with an independent national stand at the prestigious international exhibition "Biofach China 2026", held in Shanghai.

"Our participation puts a focus on the quality and diversity of Bulgarian organic products and opens new horizons for presence in the Asian market," noted the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

What are Bulgarian producers presenting?

Nine leading domestic companies are showcasing the richness of Bulgarian nature through a variety of eco-friendly goods:

  • Honey and bee products;
  • Essential oil-based products;
  • Rosehip jams, preserves, and tahini;
  • Natural cosmetics;
  • Organic wines and vegetable oils.

Strategic development of the sector

During the opening, Dr. Lora Juparova, Director of the "Organic Production" Directorate at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, emphasized the importance of the forum. The focus is on the National Action Plan for the Development of Organic Production until 2030, which aims to strengthen export potential through international exhibitions.

In addition to business meetings, our country also took part in an international conference, where it presented its experience in policies supporting organic producers. The success in Shanghai comes after the strong performance of Bulgarian companies at "Biofach" in Nuremberg earlier this year, solidifying Bulgaria's image as a producer of quality organic food.
