A New Chapter in Economic Relations Between Bulgaria and China

Minister of Economy Alexander Pulev held a key meeting with the Ambassador of China, H.E. Dai Qingli, with the aim of deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries.

Our common goal is to translate political dialogue into concrete economic results, more investments, and sustainable industrial projects.

Key priorities for cooperation:

  • Technology transfer: Attracting projects with high added value.
  • Energy and infrastructure: Expanding partnerships in the energy, decarbonization, and transport sectors.
  • Industrial zones: Creating new opportunities for interaction between Bulgarian industrial zones and Chinese companies.

The government is actively working on improving the investment environment, including by preparing a new bill on public-private partnerships to ensure security for large-scale strategic investments.

Preparation for the 19th Session of the Mixed Commission

The upcoming meeting of the Bulgarian-Chinese Intergovernmental Commission, planned for the autumn in China, is viewed as an excellent opportunity to provide new impetus to bilateral relations and examine specific business projects.
