Assen Vassilev: We Must Protect the Vote in the Elections

The chairman of “We Continue the Change” Asen Vasilev stated to the protesters gathered in the center of Sofia that the vote in the upcoming elections must be protected. The protest was organized by the coalition “We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria”.

Vasilev called for voting for people who will not steal. He criticized the proposal for votes to be counted with scanners and not with machines, as according to him, this does not guarantee fair elections. He stressed that the lack of control over the vote could lead to manipulations.

Vasilev pointed out that they have prepared a 170-page report with 300 proposals for changes to the Election Code. He expressed concerns about the speed of the process of introducing the new voting machines, as well as the lack of testing and transparency.

Vasilev added that the trust given to BSP and ITN has cost all Bulgarian citizens two kindergartens, as the money was given for the security of Borisov and Peevski.
