121 Fires Extinguished in Bulgaria, No Casualties

The General Directorate "Fire Safety and Civil Protection" reported the successful extinguishing of 121 fires across the country in the past 24 hours.

As of 6:00 AM this morning, the statistics are finalized, with no registered casualties or injuries.

Firefighters responded to a total of 157 incident reports, demonstrating a quick and efficient response from the teams on the ground.

Fire Distribution:

• 19 fires with material damage:
• 8 in residential buildings
• 7 in vehicles
• 1 in an auxiliary building
• 102 fires without material damage:
• 62 in dry grass, forest litter and bushes
• 1 in stubble fields
• 34 in waste

The remaining 102 fires were extinguished without causing material damage.

A significant portion of them " 62 " broke out in dry grass, forest litter and bushes, a typical scenario for summer time, requiring increased attention from the population.

Separately, one fire was registered in stubble fields, and 34 broke out in waste and similar materials.

To prevent a potentially dangerous spread of such fires, strict adherence to fire handling rules and waste recycling is essential.

Rescue Operations and Technical Assistance:

In addition to firefighting activities, 31 rescue operations and technical assistance activities were carried out during the 24-hour period.

• 8 related to road accidents
• 23 technical assistance

Eight of them are related to road accidents, illustrating the frequency of road accidents and the need for increased attention while driving.

The remaining 23 are technical assistance, showing the diversity of tasks that firefighters undertake daily.

False Calls:

In addition, five false calls were registered, which is a signal for the need for greater responsibility on the part of citizens when reporting to emergency services.

Improper use of emergency phones can delay the response to actual emergencies.
