Burgas Literary Awards 2025: Ceremony on December 4th

The awarding ceremony for the Annual Literary Awards of Burgas Municipality for 2025 will be held on December 4th at 6:00 PM in the foyer of the State Opera - Burgas. Each year, on the eve of the Burgas holiday - St. Nicholas Day, writers and admirers of fiction, poetry, and journalism eagerly await this day.

This year, the "Hristo Fotev" plaques will be awarded - for poetry, "Petko Rosen" - for prose, and "Pegasus" - an award for a book with a contribution to national literature - poetry, prose, or literary criticism.

A five-member jury of university professors and writers analyzed nearly 40 books of poetry and prose by Burgas authors, published on the market from November 2024 to October 2025 (attached list of books).

The hosts of the ceremony will be the young actors from the Drama Theatre "Adriana Budevska" Nikol Karabina and Victor Mladenov. Talented musicians and vocal performers from the National Music School "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov" - Burgas will take part in the festive evening. The multimedia is entrusted for the first time to the young IT specialists from the Professional High School of Computer Programming and Innovations in the city.
