The shortage of qualified specialists continues to be a serious challenge for Bulgarian companies. A telling example is the leading enterprise "Torgoterm" AD from Kyustendil, which openly shares its challenges and strategies for overcoming them.

The company has an impressive production base of 29,000 square meters, which allows for large-scale production of specialized equipment for restaurants, establishments, and public kitchens. All products are made from high-quality stainless steel, certified for the food industry.
Torgoterm's market presence far exceeds national borders. The company successfully sells products in France, Spain, Italy, and other European countries, demonstrating high export potential and competitiveness.
The enterprise's technological equipment includes modern laser complexes and digitally controlled machines that provide exceptional flexibility in production. Currently, over 200 employees work in the company, for whom exceptional conditions for professional development have been created.
The management relies on a personal approach to human capital, investing in additional benefits such as food vouchers, free training courses, and special work spaces. The philosophy is clear - to build highly qualified specialists through support and motivation.
Parallel to the efforts of the private sector, the state is also taking specific steps to address the personnel issue. The Ministry of Labor and Social Policy has launched the large-scale program "I Choose Bulgaria", which aims to attract Bulgarian citizens who have worked or studied abroad back to their homeland.
The program operates in two main components - one focused on the return of Bulgarians from abroad, and the other on internal labor mobility. Deputy Minister Natalia Efremova emphasized that the initiative is aimed at people who have lived outside the country in the last 18 months or have completed their education abroad.
