A series of festive events in Burgas will mark the fourth edition of the cultural festival "Yerevan in Burgas". The annual event, which has established itself as a bridge between Bulgarian and Armenian culture, will take place on Sunday, September 28, bringing together talented children and teenagers from all over Bulgaria. This year, the festival will once again gather hundreds of participants who will showcase their skills in dance and singing.
Festive Procession
The culmination of the celebrations will begin with a symbolic procession. At 10:00 a.m., the participants will gather in front of the Armenian Church, from where they will set off on a festive parade. Their route will pass through key points in the city, including the central square with the iconic Clock and the lively "Bogoridi" Street. The procession will end in front of the Monument to Grateful Armenians, located in the picturesque Sea Garden. The streets are expected to be filled with music and joyful cheers as the crowd moves toward the main event venue.
Concert at the "Ohlyuva" Open-Air Stage
After the procession, the festive program will continue at the "Ohlyuva" Open-Air Stage, where a grand concert will begin at exactly 11:00 a.m. The program promises to be rich and diverse, including both authentic and contemporary Armenian music, songs, and dances. The stage will feature amateur and community center ensembles from various cities across the country, including Burgas, Sofia, Ruse, Varna, and Shumen, demonstrating the artistic richness of the community.
Simultaneously, a traditional charity culinary bazaar will be set up as part of the festival. Visitors and residents of the city will have the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in Armenian culinary traditions, tasting authentic dishes and delicacies. The funds raised from the bazaar will be directed towards charitable causes, highlighting the social mission of the event.
The event "Yerevan in Burgas" is held with the financial support of the Municipality of Burgas and is an important part of the city's efforts to promote its cultural heritage. The festival also supports Burgas's bid for the prestigious title of "European Capital of Culture" in 2032, reinforcing its contribution to the cultural and social development of the region.
