Burak Poyraz and Denis Ţapu will face off on November 28 at the "Mladost" hall in Burgas, at the big MAX FIGHT 67 gala.

The two will fight in the super welterweight category under Muay Thai MAX 1 rules, which allow mixed martial arts (MMA) gloves, the organisers said.

Poyraz returns to the MAX FIGHT ring after facing champion Martin Petkov at MAX FIGHT 66. The Turkish fighter has won his country's title several times and has a professional record of 31 wins and 7 losses, 7 of them by knockout. He has also fought in Thailand's RWS, an organisation many see as the top stage in Muay Thai. In his last fight there he lost to Petkov, but fans in Burgas took a liking to him.

His opponent Denis Ţapu is the WAKO kickboxing world champion for 2026. In 2022, the Moldovan won the MAX FIGHT Grand Prix. In one night he beat both Alexander Ribnikov and Martin Koprivlenski. In 2025, he fought Stoyan Koprivlenski at K-1 World MAX in Tokyo and had the Japanese crowd on its feet. Ţapu has 19 wins and 4 losses, with 8 of his wins by knockout.

Organisers say a lot is riding on this fight. Poyraz wants a rematch and another shot at Martin Petkov, while Ţapu has already challenged the champion for his title.
