The Registry Agency introduces temporary interruptions of electronic services for optimization and security.
On June 18, 2025, the Registry Agency will carry out planned activities for optimization and information security, which will lead to temporary interruptions in the electronic services offered on the website https://uwt.registryagency.bg. The interruptions will be from 22:15 to 22:30 hours.
The European Chambers of Commerce and Industry discussed the business environment and the development of the single market.
Representatives of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) participated in the general assembly of the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBRES) in Malmö, Sweden. The forum discussed the organizational and financial issues of EUROCHAMBRES, as well as its activities on projects related to international trade, EU enlargement, and the development of good neighborly relations.
The passage through the "Petrohan" pass is temporarily restricted for heavy vehicles.
From June 16 to July 11, 2025, the movement of trucks over 3.5 tons through the "Petrohan" pass will be restricted at certain hours and days to facilitate the travel of local residents. Alternative routes for heavy-duty vehicles are also planned.
Temporary restriction of traffic on the Hemus Motorway for the removal of vegetation
During the period of June 16-19, the overtaking lane between km 2 and km 15 of the Hemus Motorway in the direction of Varna will be restricted to improve visibility in the section. Drivers are urged to drive carefully and observe the restrictions.
Repair activities on the Trakia Motorway in Pazardzhik and Sliven regions - two-way traffic and temporary restrictions
The Road Infrastructure Agency announces the completion of asphalt works on the section of the Trakia Motorway in Pazardzhik region. From June 13, traffic will be two-way on the repaired lane towards Burgas. Repair activities continue on sections from Sofia to Burgas, with temporary restrictions and traffic organization being introduced.
The Bulgarian business with new opportunities for innovation and digitalization
The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized a meeting where representatives of the Ministry of Innovation and Growth presented the upcoming procedures for two operational programs - "Competitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises" and "Research, Innovation and Digitalization for Smart Transformation". The procedures are aimed at supporting micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the field of digitalization, energy efficiency and the implementation of innovations.
Accelerated start of the regional development and fair transition program
The Managing Authority of the 2021-2027 Regional Development Program has managed to make up for the delay and accelerate the announcement of application procedures. The first contracts under Priority 4 "Fair Transition" have already been signed, and by July, all 129 approved contracts for energy renovation of multi-family residential buildings are expected to be signed.
Leaders of the Consumer Protection Commission and the "Podkrepa" trade union promise joint actions for a smooth transition to the euro.
The Chairman of the Consumer Protection Commission Maria Filipova and the President of the trade union organization CITUB "Podkrepa" Dimitar Manolov agreed on close cooperation in the introduction of the euro in Bulgaria. Bulgaria welcomed a second OECD mission to assess corporate governance. The country has taken concrete actions in response to the recommendations of the Corporate Governance Committee and has already received high praise for its progress. The widespread introduction of international standards in state-owned enterprises is forthcoming, as well as the organization of training for their effective implementation.
IKEA recalls garlic presses due to risk of metal particles
The Consumer Protection Commission announces the recall of IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL, black garlic presses, with barcode 20152158 and batch numbers from 2411 to 2522 due to the risk of small metal particles separating, which could end up in food. Consumers are urged to stop using the product and return it to an IKEA store for a full refund.
National Company for Industrial Zones is launching a project for a Digital Innovation Center in Bozhurishte.
The Ministry of Economy and Industry, together with the National Company for Industrial Zones, are investing over 6 million leva in the construction of a Regional Center for Digital Solutions and Innovation at the Sofia-Bojurishte Industrial Park. The Center will provide modern digital infrastructure and support services for businesses, entrepreneurs, innovators, and research organizations in the region.

The Consumer Protection Commission takes strict measures against speculation with the introduction of the euro.
The chairperson of the Consumer Protection Commission, Maria Filipova, announced a detailed plan to counteract any potential speculation in commercial establishments after the introduction of the euro in Bulgaria from January 1, 2026. The Commission will conduct inspections of high-risk establishments and impose fines of up to 50,000 leva for each violation.
Repair activities on the Struma Motorway require careful driving.
The repair of the 3rd kilometer of the "Struma" motorway in the direction of Blagoevgrad continues. Traffic is being carried out in the overtaking lane, while the active and emergency lanes are closed. The repair work will continue until June 14, and the Road Infrastructure Agency calls on drivers to follow the safety rules.
