The Vice Prime Minister Karadjov Presents an Ambitious Plan for the Modernization of the Railway Infrastructure in Northern Bulgaria
The Deputy Prime Minister Grozdan Karadjov, responsible for transport and communications, revealed details about a large-scale plan for the construction of three new railway tunnels through the Stara Planina mountain. The projects will be implemented through public-private partnership and will connect Northern and Southern Bulgaria in an effective transportation network.
Road repairs impose temporary traffic restrictions on the Trakia Motorway.
On June 25th from 7 to 19 hours, the traffic in the direction of Burgas at the 288th kilometer of the "Trakia" motorway will be directed to the overtaking lane. The reason is the performance of repair work on the roadway in the Yambol area. The Road Infrastructure Agency calls on drivers to drive carefully, to observe the restrictions and not to use the emergency lanes to accelerate the traffic.
Repair activities on the Trakia Motorway in Plovdiv region require temporary changes in traffic.
From June 25 to 27, repair activities will be carried out on a section of the Trakia Motorway between km 126 and km 129 in Plovdiv region. This necessitates temporary changes in the organization of traffic, including restrictions for heavy vehicles. The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Ivan Ivanov, announced that municipalities will receive 200 million levs for the implementation of projects under the Investment Program. He urged local authorities to prioritize water supply and sewerage projects and the rehabilitation of the water supply network. Ivanov assured that the funds under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan for the energy renovation of multi-family residential buildings are guaranteed, and 2.5 billion levs are planned for this purpose under a new national program.

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) is starting work on the new European project "TRANSFER", aimed at improving social dialogue in the civil aviation sector. The project involves 9 partners from 5 countries and aims to transfer good practices from air traffic management to other sub-sectors, as well as to support the transnational exchange of experience between social partners.

The Road Infrastructure Agency announced a public procurement procedure for the development of a conceptual design that will provide an alternative route for the Struma motorway in the section between Simitli and Kresna, outside the Kresna Gorge.
