Between August 31 and September 2, there will be temporary changes to traffic organization on several sections of the national road network in the regions of Sofia, Pernik, and Burgas. The reason for these restrictions is the planned replacement of traffic counting and toll cameras, which necessitates specific limitations for travelers.

On the first day of the period – Monday, August 31, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., traffic counting cameras will be replaced along the Struma motorway at the 21st km, located near the Църква district in Pernik. The work will require phased lane closures in both directions. Traffic will be diverted into the lanes where no work is being performed; therefore, drivers are advised to drive with increased caution and at a speed appropriate to the conditions.

On September 1, between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., the replacement of toll cameras is scheduled on road I-9 in the area of the town of Malko Tarnovo, Burgas region. During the repair work, passage in one lane will be temporarily restricted, and vehicles will be directed to the lane remaining open for traffic.

The final stage of the activities is scheduled for September 2, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., when traffic counting cameras will be replaced on road II-18, the Sofia Ring Road, at the 21st km, in the area of Chepintsi. In this section, traffic in the lane leading towards Kazichene will be restricted, and all traffic will be directed to flow in both directions through the lane where no repair work is taking place.

The Road Infrastructure Agency appeals to all drivers to be cautious, to strictly adhere to traffic rules and posted speed limits, and to refrain from risky overtaking maneuvers that jeopardize the safety of other road users.
