Attention drivers: Traffic changes on the Hemus and Trakia motorways

Temporary restrictions on motorways in Sofia Region

The Road Infrastructure Agency warns drivers about changes to traffic management on the Hemus and Trakia motorways from August 18 to 20. The reason is planned work on replacing counting camera mounts and clearing roadside vegetation.

Drivers are urged to drive carefully and strictly follow the posted road signs.

Schedule of maintenance works:

• August 18 (Tuesday): From 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the 61st km of the Hemus motorway (area of Osikovska Lakavitsa village), counting cameras will be replaced. Traffic will be restricted to the active lane only.
• August 18 (Tuesday): Between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., roadside vegetation will be removed on the Trakia motorway (from the 6th to the 13th km in the direction of Sofia). The emergency lane will be restricted.
• August 19 and 20 (Wednesday and Thursday): Between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., cameras will be replaced at km 0 of the Trakia motorway (the "Chernata Kotka" area). On Wednesday, work will be towards Plovdiv, and on Thursday – towards Sofia.
