Attention drivers: Changes in traffic on the Struma motorway and roads in the Kyustendil region

Temporary traffic organization on the Struma Motorway and the national road network

Extensive repair works, vegetation mowing, and road marking are scheduled for next week (July 20-24) in the Kyustendil region. The Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) urges drivers to exercise increased caution.

Important: Traffic will be restricted to one lane in stages in the specified sections. Please follow the road signs!

Schedule of activities:

• Struma Motorway (km 37 to km 56): From July 20 to 24, 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. – restriction of the passing and emergency lanes for vegetation mowing.
• Struma Motorway (km 56 to km 86): From July 20 to 24, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. – phased restrictions in both directions.
• Installation of advertising facilities: On July 20 at km 75 and km 79 in the direction of Kulata, traffic will be restricted to one lane.
• Road I-1 Sofia - Blagoevgrad (Dupnitsa city): Asphalt repairs from km 331 to km 333 (July 20-24, 6:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.).
• Road I-1 (Dupnitsa - border with Blagoevgrad): Application of horizontal road markings from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Road I-6 Gyueshevo Border Crossing - Kyustendil: Mowing of roadside vegetation (July 20-24, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.).
