Repairs on Trakia Motorway: Current information until June 25
The Road Infrastructure Agency informs drivers about temporary traffic organization on the Trakia Motorway in the Stara Zagora and Sliven regions due to repair works. Work is carried out during daylight hours (from 07:00 to 20:00).
Important: Traffic is not stopped, but restrictions are being introduced in the active and emergency lanes, with vehicles being diverted into the passing lane.
Repair schedule in Stara Zagora region:
- June 23: Lane towards Burgas (165-166 km).
- June 24: Lane towards Burgas (176 km) and lane towards Sofia (165-166 km).
- June 25: Lane towards Sofia (160 km and 163-164 km).
Restrictions in the 208-229 km section (direction Sofia):
Traffic is carried out in both directions in the lane towards Burgas. The "Stara Zagora" road junction is partially restricted for the Burgas-Stara Zagora and Dimitrovgrad-Sofia directions.
Alternative routes:
- For travelers from Burgas to Stara Zagora/Dimitrovgrad: Use the "Nova Zagora" road junction (240 km) and road III-554.
- For travelers from Dimitrovgrad to Sofia: Road I-5 to Stara Zagora, then road II-66 to the "Chirpan east" road junction (184 km).
Repairs in Sliven region (direction Sofia):
- June 23: 269th km.
- June 24: 262nd km.
- June 25: 236-237 km.
