Vladimir Nikolov: Hopes for Success for the Women's Volleyball Team

The former captain of the Bulgarian men's national volleyball team, Vladimir Nikolov, expressed his hope that the women's national team will be able to repeat the impressive achievements of the men's team at the World Championship.

The reason for optimism is the undeniable success of the men, led by coach Gianlorenzo Blengini, who won the silver medals at the prestigious forum. Alexander and Simeon, the sons of Vladimir Nikolov, also made a significant contribution to this success.

In an interview for the program "The Day Begins", Nikolov shared his impressions of the success and his vision for the future of volleyball. "I haven't seen my sons since last night and we haven't said anything to each other. The success is for the boys, the federation and the staff. We are just enjoying it. I actively participate in the processes, but at the club level. It was a matter of time for the children we chose to make us happy. What is happening with the men's team will most likely happen with the women's team in 3-4 years. The growth happened slowly during the training process. They trained as finished professionals. The successes of the championship are not accidental," he said.

The attitude towards the future successes of the women's team is obvious from Nikolov's words. He emphasizes the importance of systematic work and the professional approach that has led to the success of the men. Obviously, according to him, the same principles will be key to the future development of women's volleyball.
