Ukrainian children triumphed after successfully completing a Bulgarian language course, level A1, within a significant project aimed at supporting refugee children. The event marks an important moment in the efforts for integration and language acquisition by the children who have found shelter in the Municipality of Burgas. The project, encompassing a wide range of activities, includes support for refugee children and their families, with special attention being paid to unaccompanied children housed in a Transitional Housing facility to the Municipality.
The course, held between July and September, offered intensive training at the Shared Learning Center, created specifically for this purpose. The total duration of the training reached an impressive 120 hours, providing the children with a solid foundation in the Bulgarian language. The lessons were led by Eetula Sabri, whose dedication and teaching methods contributed to the successful results.
The final event turned the Shared Learning Center into an arena of joy and pride. The children shone in an open lesson, skillfully demonstrating their acquired knowledge and skills. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm as the participants presented what they had learned. Afterwards, they received their certificates, symbolizing their achievements, as well as gifts in recognition of their tireless efforts.
The event was attended by Kichka Stefanova, Director of the CPPLR-Burgas, as well as Sabina Nikolova, Deputy Director of CPPLR-Burgas and project coordinator. Tatyana Tsiganok, also a coordinator, was also among the guests. The presence of the parents further emphasized the importance of the moment; they proudly watched their children succeed.
The Bulgarian language course - level A1, is a key step towards the future linguistic and cultural development of the participants. This is an investment in their future and a key element of the integration process. Mastering the language opens doors to new opportunities for education and realization.
