Presentation of the "The Kids in the Middle" Program: Support for Children and Parents During Separation

On February 11th at 6:00 PM at the Regional Library “P. K. Yavorov”, there will be a presentation of the “The Kids in the Middle” program. This is a practical, preventative, and supportive approach for parents and specialists, aimed at reducing conflict between adults and protecting the mental and emotional well-being of children in the context of separation and divorce.

The event is intended for:

• Parents in the process of separation or already separated;
• Specialists working with parents and children in separation and divorce;
• Representatives of institutions and professional communities;
• Citizens who are interested in the topic and are looking for sustainable solutions in the best interest of the child.

During the meeting, the following will be presented:

• The “The Kids in the Middle” program, its development in Bulgaria, and the reasons for its effectiveness;
• Common, but unacknowledged mistakes of parents in the process of separation;
• Opportunities to reduce conflict without escalation and without loss of parental authority;
• Key factors for creating a sense of security and stability in the child;
• Small but working steps with a long-term positive effect on child development and family dynamics.

The presenters of the event are specialists from the team of “The Circle Therapy” – certified and practicing consultants and psychotherapists, members and trainees of the Bulgarian Association for Family Therapy, with many years of experience in working with families and children.

The event is free and open to all who wish to learn more about the needs of children and parents in the separating family and the ways in which they can be supported in a sustainable and caring manner.

Sustainable solutions for children are possible only through cooperation between the professional community, institutions, and families.
