Tragedy in Sunny Beach: Romanian Tourist Drowns

A tragic incident has shaken the shores of Sunny Beach after a 58-year-old Romanian tourist lost her life, drowning in the rough waters of the Black Sea. The confirmation came from law enforcement authorities, who immediately launched an investigation into the case.

The tragedy unfolded before the eyes of hundreds of vacationers

The incident, which took place before the eyes of hundreds of vacationers, occurred in the early afternoon hours of August 28. A report was filed with the Nessebar District Police Department at exactly 11:04 a.m., directing the authorities' attention to the area of rescue post No. 18. The site of the tragedy is located in the immediate vicinity of the well-known hotel "Dune", one of the symbols of the Bulgarian resort.

According to initial information, the woman, who was on vacation in Sunny Beach, drowned in the sea under still unclear circumstances.

Police and rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene, but unfortunately, it was not possible to save the tourist's life. The entire atmosphere on the beach changed, and the sunny mood gave way to silent sadness.

The investigation is in its initial phase

After the body was pulled from the water, it was transported to the "Forensic Medicine" department at University Hospital – Burgas. An autopsy is to be performed, which is expected to establish the exact cause of death and clarify all the details surrounding the tragedy. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated for the case, which will shed more light on the circumstances that led to the fatal outcome.
