Businesses will pay an average of €241.49 per megawatt hour (MWh), excluding VAT, for electricity delivered on Friday, 9 October. The Bulgarian Independent Energy Exchange (IBEX) published the figure after trading for the day closed.
That is 5.88% more than today's price, which averaged €208.40/MWh when the exchange closed it yesterday. The prices come from the day-ahead segment, where power is bought one day and delivered the next.
Tomorrow, the average price in peak hours, from 09:00 to 20:00, is €222.01/MWh. In off-peak hours, from 01:00 to 08:00 and from 21:00 to 24:00, it is €260.97. In total, 90,649.45 MWh were sold on the exchange.
In the intraday segment, deals on 60-minute products so far have a weighted average price of €198.71/MWh. For 15-minute products, the average price for the day is €196.96/MWh. Both prices exclude VAT.
