Heavy goods vehicle incident in the Vitinya tunnel
A serious incident hindered traffic on the Hemus motorway last night. The driver of a Romanian-registered semi-truck, carrying two metal containers, hit and tore off a ventilation fan mounted above the middle traffic lane in the Vitinya tunnel.
The incident occurred after 7:00 PM, and fortunately, there were no injuries in the collision.

Following an inspection, the truck driver was detained for a period of 24 hours. Authorities are working to clarify the circumstances surrounding the case.
