Subaru against the trends: Manual transmissions remain in fashion

83% of Subaru WRX buyers choose a manual transmission – proof that the brand's fans are looking for a mechanical driving experience.
Subaru's three new machines:
- New WRX: The model will use the legendary TY85 transmission, inspired by the WRX STI Sport# Prototype concept.
- Sports BRZ: A successor to the STI Sport Type RA series, focused on weight reduction and precise handling.
- Affordable hatchback: A completely new, budget-oriented model that aims to make sports driving more accessible.
Despite the excitement, the question remains whether these cars will reach global markets or remain exclusive to Japan. However, if they do reach Europe and North America, they will undoubtedly become some of the most desirable affordable sports cars on the market.
