Any voter whose permanent and current addresses are in different towns can ask to vote at their current address in the 25 October 2026 presidential election. The Central Election Commission (CEC) timetable says the deadline is today at 6pm.
Voters can also apply online through the CEC's new "Elections 360°" app, which also lets them check the address of their polling station. The "For voters" section has information about the election and how to use the online services. It also has a full list of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates.
Anyone entered on the list at their current address cannot get a voting certificate to vote somewhere else. Municipal administrations issue these certificates.
Only presidential and vice-presidential candidates, members of the CEC and of the district election commissions, and observers can ask to vote elsewhere. They must apply to the municipal administration at their permanent address.
By 14 October at the latest, municipal administrations must send the data on requests to vote at a current address to GDCRA, the civil registration directorate at the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works. They will also send the data on people removed from the permanent address lists.
