Burgas celebrates the Day of Bulgarian Sport with an extensive program

The Municipality of Burgas invites all lovers of an active lifestyle to join the celebrations on the occasion of the Day of Bulgarian Sport. During the month of May, the city turns into an arena for some of the most prestigious sporting events, bringing together professionals and enthusiasts from the country and abroad.

The program includes a sailing regatta, a Grand Prix swimming tournament, national martial arts championships, and international football initiatives.

Schedule of sports events (May 15 – 24, 2026)

  • Sailing (May 15-17): "Kraymorie Cup 2026" Regatta (Optimist class) in the Kraymorie neighborhood. Opening on May 16 at 11:30 AM.
  • Swimming (May 15-17): International "Mayor's Cup" tournament (Grand Prix 2026) at "Park Arena OZK".
  • Martial Arts (May 15-17): International seminar at the UK-PMG hall.
  • Karate Kyokushin (May 16): National championship for children at the "Mladost" hall. Starts at 11:00 AM.
  • Football (May 16-17): National initiative "60 Years of Hristo Stoichkov" at the "Words" complex.
  • Tennis (May 16-24): European tournament "Tennis Europe 14 – Burgas tennis cup" at the "Avenue" tennis center.
