At the iconic art gallery in Sozopol, a solemn ceremony was held during which the local administration paid a well-deserved tribute to one of the most prominent contemporary Bulgarian artists – Ivan Bakhchevanov. Deputy Mayor Todor Damyanov presented an honorary plaque as an expression of deep respect for his exceptional creative presence.
Bakhchevanov has established himself as an author with a unique artistic style, whose canvases represent a true symphony between classical art and modern visual messages. His kinetic painting masterfully combines mythological suggestions with contemporary aesthetics, transforming each canvas into a narrative that transcends traditional artistic dimensions.
The maritime atmosphere of Sozopol serves as an inexhaustible source of inspiration for the artist. The project involves building an underground amphitheater with holographic installations, a monumental arch in the shape of an hourglass, and artistic symbols that will tell the city's history.
During the ceremony, Deputy Mayor Todor Damyanov emphasized the artist's exceptional significance: "Ivan Bakhchevanov is an artist who simultaneously creates sculptures and paints canvases, turning his art into a living message." His work demonstrates art's ability to revive cultural memory, create dialogue between generations, and imbue urban spaces with spirit.
