Management change at Bulgargaz: Georgi Tatarski is the new Executive Director

New management at Bulgargaz

The Board of Directors of Bulgargaz has officially elected Georgi Tatarski as the new Executive Director of the company. He replaces Veselin Sinabov, and the decision has already been reflected in the Commercial Register.

The changes were voted on at a Board meeting on July 16, and concurrently, Veselina Kanatova-Buchkova was elected Chair of the Board of Directors.

Key changes in composition

In addition to the change of the executive director, the following names were removed from the Board of Directors:

• Ivan Topchiyski
• Byanka Racheva
• Mari Filipovski

Veselina Kanatova-Buchkova, Velislav Yonev, Georgi Tatarski, Veselin Sinabov, and Mihail Milkov took part in the last meeting.

Deadlines and context

According to data from the Commercial Register, the mandate of the new members is valid until a new competitive procedure is held, but for no more than six months. The reshuffles in the gas company come at a critical time, as Bulgargaz is negotiating with the Turkish company Botaş to renegotiate the 13-year contract signed at the beginning of 2023.
