New partners in the search for oil and gas in "Khan Tervel"
Energy Minister Iva Petrova announced that the transfer of 33% of Shell's exploration rights for the "Khan Tervel" field is fully legal. The procedure was carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Underground Resources Act.
"After conducting checks to prove technical, financial, and professional capacity, the Ministry of Energy initiated decisions by the Council of Ministers for both companies," stated Petrova.
- Corporate steps: Shell entered into a partnership with OMV and Turkish Petroleum.
- Standard procedure: The difference in approval timing is due solely to the duration of the capacity checks for the companies.
