Raya Nazaryan Participates in the Parliamentary Summit in Bucha, Ukraine

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Raya Nazaryan, will participate today in the second parliamentary Summit in Bucha, Ukraine. This was announced by the press center of the National Assembly.

The forum, organized by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, will be attended by chairs and members of the leaderships of national parliaments of EU member states, Moldova, the United Kingdom, and Northern Ireland, as well as the European Parliament, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

Among the main topics that the participants in the meeting will discuss will be the humanitarian challenges caused by the ongoing military aggression and energy security in the context of attacks against Ukraine's critical infrastructure.

Participants are expected to adopt a joint statement condemning the illegal, unprovoked, and unjustified aggressive war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. They are also expected to reaffirm their unwavering commitment to the goals and principles of the UN Charter and the full respect for the sovereignty, political independence, and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Before the opening of the forum, the participants in the Summit will pay their respects to the memory of the innocent victims of the Bucha massacre at a commemorative ceremony in the church "St. Andrew".

The program of the visit of the Speaker of the National Assembly, Raya Nazaryan, also includes meetings in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in Kyiv.

Yesterday, a delegation led by caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov also arrived in Kyiv, Ukraine. There, Gyurov met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, with whom they signed a 10-year security agreement between Bulgaria and Ukraine.
