The leaders of the Consumer Protection Commission (CPC) and the trade union organization CITUB "Podkrepa" reached an agreement on joint actions related to the smooth introduction of the euro in the Republic of Bulgaria. The CPC Chair Maria Filipova and the President of CITUB "Podkrepa" Dimitar Manolov agreed that the trade union will actively participate in the information campaign organized by the CPC at the local level. The two will coordinate the market control to ensure the rights of consumers, including the workers and employees represented by CITUB "Podkrepa".

Filipova thanked Manolov and CITUB "Podkrepa" for their readiness to cooperate in protecting the interests of citizens during the introduction of the euro. In turn, Manolov emphasized that the trade union will actively participate in the CPC's information campaign at the regional level to minimize the difficulties associated with the transition to the single European currency.
