President Rumen Radev expressed concern about violations in the appointment of the special commercial manager of "Lukoil". He questioned the compliance with the law and procedures related to the approval of his plan. The head of state commented on the situation to the media.

I am concerned about the Bulgarian Constitution and the rule of law. "The very appointment of the special commercial manager of "Lukoil" is outside the law," said President Rumen Radev to the assembled journalists. The event, which opened its doors to the media, was a tennis tournament dedicated to the memory of Major General Neyko Nenov. The source of this information is the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA).

According to the head of state, who stood before the reporters with a visibly serious expression, the regulatory framework defines specific steps for the special commercial manager. According to the current legislation, this manager must prepare a detailed plan for the upcoming six-month work. This plan must be presented to the Security Council to the Council of Ministers (CM), where it must receive approval.

"When did he develop such a plan, when did the members of the council get acquainted with it, when did they approve it, as he was not even present at the council," President Radev asked, expressing his doubts about the observance of legal procedures. Tension was felt in the hall while reporters were recording every word. According to the head of state, an activity that is in violation of the law from the very beginning carries a huge risk of subsequent violations. "There is a bigger crisis than the potential fuel crisis - this is the crisis of Bulgarian politics, it is much more terrible," Rumen Radev emphasized.

Emphasizing the alarming state of the rule of law, the president stated categorically: "The Constitution no longer matters, the laws do not matter, the arguments do not matter. The ruling people have trampled on all legal, political and moral norms," summarized the head of state, concluding his speech.
