The President's Administration has announced the start of a new round of applications for a one-time scholarship aimed at supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. The "Support a Dream" initiative continues to provide financial assistance to students and pupils with high academic achievements who need additional support.
The press center of the Head of State has officially confirmed that the application process begins on September 15. The initiative aims to provide the necessary financial support for the education of young people who have been placed in social services or foster families, as well as those who have graduated from special schools for students with sensory disabilities. In this way, the presidential institution seeks to create more equal opportunities for access to higher education.
"According to information from the presidential administration, several main groups are eligible to submit documents:"
- First-year students: They must have been placed in social services or a foster family during 11th and/or 12th grade. A mandatory condition is that they must have completed their secondary education in 2025 with a total diploma GPA of no less than 4.00.
- First-year students from special schools: Support will also be given to young people who graduated this year from special schools for students with sensory disabilities with a GPA above 4.00.
- 12th-grade pupils: Eligible applicants are pupils who have been placed in social services or foster families. They must have completed 11th grade during the 2024/2025 school year with an excellent GPA.
The conditions and procedure for receiving the one-time financial aid, as well as the application forms, are described in detail and available on the official website of the presidential institution. Applicants must fill out the necessary forms and attach all required documents specified in the rules. The deadline for submitting documents is October 15, 2025. They can be sent in person or by mail to the address: President's Administration, For the initiative "Support a Dream", 2 Knyaz Aleksandar Dondukov Blvd., Sofia.
