The government will cover the costs of services and accommodation at the „Prevention, Rehabilitation and Recreation“ EAD facilities for 58 individuals entitled to rights under the Law on Military Disabled Persons and War Victims. To this end, an additional transfer of 17,387 euros has been approved for the 2026 State Social Security budget, the government press service announced.

This social support decision also applies to war invalids and their families in Burgas and the Burgas region.

This step follows demands submitted in March this year by the Union of Military Disabled Persons and War Victims (SVVP). The organization is calling for "additional rights in the Law on Military Disabled Persons and War Victims regarding medication, free treatment in sanatoriums, the inclusion of orphans and children of military disabled persons in the "Children of the Bulgarian Army" Foundation, and the restoration of conscription.".
