Protocol on Education in Odesa Oblast Signed: Bulgaria Supports the Bulgarian Community in Ukraine

A key protocol for the future of education for the Bulgarian community in the Odessa region was signed during a joint briefing in Kyiv.

Bulgarian Prime Minister Andrey Gurov and Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko attended the signing of the protocol between the education ministers of the two countries.

The document guarantees the opportunity for Bulgarian children at the Bolgrad Gymnasium “G. S. Rakovski” to continue their education in their native language. The gymnasium is an important cultural bridge between Bulgaria and Ukraine.

Prime Minister Gurov emphasized Bulgaria’s commitment to the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of education and culture, as well as unequivocal support for Ukraine.

Opportunities for cooperation in the economy, energy, defense industry, innovation, transport and connectivity were discussed.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko emphasized the importance of the signed protocol and expressed gratitude for Bulgaria’s solidarity.
