Yesterday, at the age of 74, the former mayor of the village of Medovo - Georgi Zhelev - passed away.
A lawyer by education, Georgi Zhelev was born on December 8, 1951 in the village of Krushevec. A long-time employee in the Ministry of Interior system (from 1973), he last held the position of Deputy Director of the Regional Directorate in Burgas. From 2012 to 2023 he was the mayor of the village of Medovo, Pomorie municipality.
The funeral will be on February 4, 2026, Wednesday, at 2:00 PM in the ritual hall of the Cemetery Park - Burgas.
Pomorie Municipality expresses its condolences to the relatives and family of Mr. Zhelev.
