On June 5, 2025, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, Ms. Maria Angelieva, held a meeting with the newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea to Bulgaria, with headquarters in Ankara, Mr. Umar Kande. During the meeting, the possibilities for the development of bilateral cooperation were discussed, with a special focus on the areas of education, agriculture, economy, and industry.

Gratitude was expressed to Bulgaria, which was among the first countries to recognize the independence of the Republic of Guinea and has provided training and higher education to many Guinean citizens, who now hold high-ranking positions and are respected professionals in their homeland. The two interlocutors confirmed the need to deepen the political dialogue and utilize all potential opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation and effective economic partnership.
