Nikola Tsolov's fifth victory since the start of the Formula 3 season has now been officially recognized. The International Automobile Federation (FIA) published the final classification from today's sprint at "Silverstone", with which the Bulgarian driver's triumph was made official.
Start from the sixth position and a dramatic finish
In the sprint race, the Bulgarian Lion started from the "sixth position" but managed to fight for the win after an impressive performance. The decisive moment came in the "final lap", when Tsolov executed a key overtake against "Gabriele Minì" – his main rival in the battle for the title.
The maneuver in the closing round brought not only success in the sprint but also an additional psychological advantage in the duel for the Formula 3 championship crown.
Equal points, but more wins for the Bulgarian Lion
With today's success, Nikola Tsolov moved to the "first place" in the overall standings. He now has a tally of "116 points" – the same as Gabriele Minì. The difference between the two, however, comes from the number of victories during the season.
Minì currently has "only one victory" to his name, while Tsolov has already recorded "five" triumphs. This highlights the consistency and high level of the Bulgarian driver in the first half of the season.
The main race at "Silverstone" will mark the halfway point of the season
The main race at "Silverstone", with which the Formula 3 season will be "at its halfway point", is scheduled for "tomorrow at 13:15 Bulgarian time". The race will have a duration of "29 laps" and will include "one mandatory pit stop".
Nikola Tsolov will start the main race from the "fifth position". "Rafael Câmara" will start from "pole position", which promises intense rivalry in the very first meters after the red lights go out.
The stakes: maintaining the lead and another battle with Minì
Following the finalized victory in the sprint, tomorrow's race will be crucial for maintaining the lead in the standings. Tsolov will have to defend his position while tied on points with Minì, as pit stop strategy and tire management could prove decisive.
