Nessebar council has built new streets in Gyulovtsa and Ravda, repaired roads in Tankovo, Orizare and the mountain villages, and renewed pavements in Sunny Beach West, Mayor Nikolay Dimitrov said. Major repairs are due on Han Krum and Ivan Vazov streets in New Nessebar.

Work to replace the water main is already under way on Han Krum, with the Burgas water utility ViK as contractor. When the utility finishes, the council will resurface the whole road. On Ivan Vazov, the underground pipes and cables have already been replaced, and the whole street is due to be resurfaced with new asphalt. The council says both repairs will improve the streets.

Dunav street has been built in Gyulovtsa. In Ravda, Kamchia and Rezvaya streets are finished, along with their lighting.

Some of the pavements in Sunny Beach West have been renewed, while the new lighting is part of a separate project. Two access streets have been completed there, one of them paid for by the Agriculture Fund.

In Orizare, the streets have been rebuilt. The road between Tankovo and Aheloy has been rebuilt, and the inner streets of Tankovo have been repaired. A road has also been rebuilt near Rakovskovo, Pristeltsi and Panitsovo, in the mountain part of the municipality.

The repairs cover all the towns and villages in the municipality. The aim is easier travel, greater safety and better access.

"We work not only in the town, but also in the villages, to give residents and visitors safe and easy travel," Dimitrov said. He said keeping up and improving roads is a constant task for the council.

The council will keep renewing streets, pavements and nearby infrastructure in stages, the mayor said. "Investment in infrastructure is investment in quality of life," he added.
