Neftochimic concludes summer friendlies with a draw against Zagorets

An evenly matched duel and the end of the preparation period

Neftochimic finished their summer training friendlies with a draw against Zagorets – 1:1. The match was played at the stadium in Nova Zagora.

The "Sheyhovete" (The Oilmen) concluded their summer test matches without a defeat – two wins and three draws.

The "Sheyhovete" started the match better, being the more dangerous team in the first half. Two excellent opportunities arose for them – the ball hit the crossbar after a corner kick by Ventzi Slavov, and a shot by Hristo Georgiev was saved by the hosts' goalkeeper.

Development of the second half

• The score: Opened at the beginning of the second half by Hidayet Hyusein after a good combination.
• Equalizer: Late in the match, Yusein Kasov took advantage of a mistake by the Burgas team's goalkeeper to set the final score at 1:1.

The team, led by Dimcho Nenov, now turns its attention to the official start of the season in the South-East Third League. The first official match is next Saturday, August 8, when Neftochimic hosts Botev II (Plovdiv) at Lazur Stadium.
