At today's regular session, the deputies of the 52nd National Assembly are officially launching their autumn session following the end of the summer recess. The parliament's work on the first plenary day is focused on adopting legislative amendments and addressing key issues concerning national defense.
In the initial stage of the agenda, the members of parliament will review changes to the Law on Arms, Ammunition, Explosives, and Pyrotechnic Articles. An important focus of the program is also the proposal to ratify agreements regarding the acquisition of a total of three mine hunters that our country will receive from the Netherlands.
The National Assembly's program also includes a bill for the ratification of amendments to international agreements aimed at acquiring "Stryker" combat vehicles. The debates will also cover the ratification of documents for the purchase of "Javelin" guided anti-tank missiles, as well as the procurement of ammunition for these combat vehicles.
The plenary session is also expected to be marked by political declarations. In them, representatives of the ruling and opposition forces will present their main goals and priorities, which will form the basis of their work during the new political season.
