The 52nd National Assembly has officially kicked off its autumn session. Members of Parliament returned to the National Assembly building for their first regular meeting following the summer break, traditionally beginning the workday with the reading of declarations by the parliamentary groups.

"Let us wish ourselves a successful and productive session," urged Parliamentary Speaker Mihaela Dotsova at the opening of the second session. It is important to note that the legislative body had already held one extraordinary meeting on Tuesday.

The work program for the new political season includes the consideration of important draft laws. Among the first items on the agenda are amendments to the Law on Weapons, Ammunition, Explosives, and Pyrotechnic Articles. Of great importance is also the vote on the ratification of the contracts necessary for the purchase of three mine hunters from the Netherlands.

The National Assembly is also set to debate the draft law for the ratification of amendments to international treaties regarding the acquisition of "Stryker" combat vehicles, "Javelin" guided anti-tank missiles, and ammunition for these vehicles. In the coming days, political forces are expected to present their declarations, outlining the priorities of both the ruling party and the opposition for the upcoming season.
