The Ministry of Interior has received 576 reports of violations of election law, mainly related to vote buying. 95 people have been detained, and 181 pre-trial proceedings have been initiated. The public is urged to report violations via the hotline.

576 reports of violations of electoral law and the political rights of citizens have been received within the structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), and 95 people have been detained. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Anchev at a briefing of the Coordination Council for the preparation of the early parliamentary elections on April 19 in the building of the Council of Ministers. The information is as of 8:30 a.m.

The most reports were received in the Regional Directorate of the MIA - Burgas - 97, in the Sofia Directorate of Internal Affairs (SDIA) - 58, and in the Regional Directorate of the MIA - Vratsa - 50, Anchev pointed out.

Of all the reports, 514 are related to vote buying, 15 are for illegal campaigning, three for corporate votes, and one for the destruction of property. 181 pre-trial proceedings have been initiated - the most are in the SDIA - 36, in Burgas - 24, and Kyustendil - 17, Anchev said.

1476 warning protocols have been drawn up and 120 specialized police operations have been conducted. 95 people have been detained, 34 of them in the SDIA and 15 in Burgas.

Ivan Anchev appealed to use the hotline for electoral crimes.
