During the official visit of the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, Robert Fico, and his accompanying delegation, a private "one-on-one" meeting was held at the Council of Ministers with Rumen Radev. During the talks, the Bulgarian Prime Minister identified energy as a cornerstone of the economies of both Bulgaria and Slovakia. At the subsequent briefing, Prime Minister Fico expressed his country's firm support for Bulgaria's ambition to become a member of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). He pointed out that Slovakia, as a long-standing and successful participant in this expert organization, fully supports our accession.

In parallel with the high-level state dialogue, as part of the official visit of the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, Robert Fico, and his delegation, Minister of Defense Dimitar Stoyanov held a working meeting with his counterpart – the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Slovak Republic, Robert Kaliňák. The main topic of their conversation was the development of bilateral relations in the sphere of defense, as reported by the Ministry of Defense. The two ministers focused on the exchange of experience in the acquisition of the F-16 Block 70 and the implementation of projects under the SAFE instrument.

During the discussion, Minister Stoyanov briefed the Slovak delegation on the progress of training for Bulgarian pilots and the stages of acquiring the first 8 fighter jets. The Bulgarian minister emphasized the modernization of the armed forces, stating: "It is important for us to exchange experience and to make maximum use of the opportunities that European instruments provide for strengthening defense capabilities." The Slovak side presented the capacity of its defense industry and declared its readiness for future partnership with Bulgaria in building and developing new capabilities for the needs of the Bulgarian Army.
