Security Measures in Schools: Proposals in Burgas Region

Proposals for strengthening security in schools in the Burgas region will be sent to the Ministry of Education, announced the local directorate of the Ministry of Interior. The news comes against the background of growing concern about aggression in educational institutions and on their territory.

Marin Dimitrov, head of the "Security Police" department at the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Burgas, informed journalists about the measures taken. The proposals were discussed during a meeting with school principals in the region and representatives of the Ministry of Interior. The atmosphere of the meeting, according to witnesses, was tense, filled with anxiety and a desire for quick solutions.

The proposed security measures include several key aspects. First, it is planned to increase the number of security guards in schools to improve the response to incidents. These security guards will be distributed both inside the buildings and in the schoolyards to provide comprehensive protection. Second, the introduction of a pass system based on electronic chips or magnetic cards for students is proposed. This system aims to restrict access to outsiders and allow tracking of students' movement within educational institutions. "With the electronic chip system, each student will be registered when entering and leaving school, which will allow us to more easily monitor their movement and prevent unwanted access by outsiders," explained Dimitrov.

This measure aims to provide additional control over student safety, while reducing the possibility of incidents. In addition, the importance of prevention, which should begin in the family environment, is emphasized. Parents are identified as key factors in identifying problems and aggressive behavior. "Working with parents is not only important, but also necessary, so that we can respond to risks in time and prevent incidents in schools," added Dimitrov.
