Substitutes for personal doctors:

• Personal doctors are obliged to provide substitutes during the holidays and at night.
• Patients must be informed in advance about the office with which their personal doctor works. This information must be in a visible place in front of the office.

Medical Center "St. Nicholas the Miracle Worker":

• Most personal doctors in Burgas and the region have a contract with the medical center of UMBAL Burgas.
• Patients of these doctors can receive emergency medical assistance around the clock.
• The medical center is located on the territory of UMBAL Burgas, with an entrance through the Surgical building.

Payment for examinations in on-duty offices:

• A user fee is paid.
• They can provide emergency assistance or refer for hospital treatment.
• They do not issue referrals for tests.
• Tests are paid for additionally.
• The office does not provide specialists chosen by the patient.
• The examination is not paid if the personal doctor has a contract with the office.
• If there is no contract, the examination costs 40 BGN for insured and 60 BGN for uninsured.

On-duty children's office:

• Will operate from December 24 to 28, 2025 and from December 31 to January 4, 2026 in the MC "St. Nicholas the Miracle Worker".
• Doctors from the children's departments of UMBAL Burgas.
• Working hours: 8:00 - 19:00.
• Examinations are free for children with a doctor under contract, otherwise - 40 BGN.

Emergency Department:

• For emergency and life-threatening conditions.
• Works around the clock.
• Patients are served in order of urgency.
